As a Missourian I'll believe any tales about the weather. It's normal for us to experience the extremes of all four seasons in a week.

It's why we get hit by so many God damned tornadoes.

My recent reply about beer to ayanami reminded me of a story about my friends from Austria, when they visited me. They were unclear on exactly what a 'redneck' was. As luck would have it, we were visiting a friend when a buddy of his stopped by, and started telling us a story about using his satellite dish for a river float, and fishing from it. They got the idea

As Jeff Foxworthy might say, "If you've ever fished from your satellite dish, you MIGHT be a Redneck..."

as we approach the dog days of summer, thought I might share a recent photo of our local lake..such a fine oasis in the desert southwest..the water is so cool, clear, and refreshing! Truly a blessing to be near it..it is a joy every time to jump in!
