Note: I have absolutely zero knowledge of the Flash universe outside of the show. If there's any info from the comics that might invalidate my theory, please correct me! Same goes for anything from previews or spoilers, as I stay away from those as well.
After watching the most recent episode, I'm pretty sure that Savitar is either Barry or Wally. This is mostly based on Savitar's claim that he created himself.
Reasons that it's Wally:
- He got his powers through the philosopher's stone and thereby from Dr. Alchemy and Savitar
- He's trapped in the speedforce now, which could lead to him changing towards evil
- Failing to save Iris might push him further towards the edge
- He's already faster than Barry
Reasons that it's Barry:
- Savitar talked about Barry suffering pain throughout his life, but that losing Iris was the one thing he never got over. So what if this pushes Barry to do something stupid (try to change the timeline again, commit suicide, I don't know) that gets him stuck in the speedforce where he goes mad and becomes Savitar? Savitar killing Iris is therefore him basically creating himself, by pushing his former self towards evil.
- Savitar also tells Iris that it's either him or her, which again points to Iris' death being his origin. Although, as seen above, this point might also apply to Wally.
I this complete nonsense or do you agree?

Someone i know on another forum thinks that he's Wally. I think he's neither, Savitar told through Julian to Barry that he'll meet him soon, maybe the bad guy identity is simple this time! His look in the comics It look like the man that we saw when Jay explain to Barry what he knew about Savitar (he seems muscular like him at least).

I did wonder about Wally when I was watching the last episode. I can't imagine it being Barry because I can't see him ever killing Iris.

I did wonder about Wally when I was watching the last episode. I can't imagine it being Barry because I can't see him ever killing Iris. Yeah, that would be super twisted. I'm leaning more towards Wally myself as well. Especially since the number of speedsters in the cast is getting pretty high, and I almost can't imagine him being around past this season. So either he's Savitar or he dies. Or both, of course. Which would probably lead to Jessie leaving for Earth 2 again, making Barry the only speedster in town once more.

Yeah, I don't think they can really have three fastest people alive in one show. However, if they kill Wally my heart is going to break for Joe.

(Not really, but that guy is probably the most tortured guy in comic-book-show history. ) As for Barry, yeah, there are surprisingly few episodes where that "fastest man alive" claim actually holds up. EDIT: I wanted to post a really funny video here, but the board doesn't like the site. So here's the link instead: 9gag.com/gag/aLDjEgv Barry Allen, (not) the fastest man alive!

Speaking of speedsters, you remember the guy on earth-19 who Gipsy was talking to and then disapear ? It's Accelerated Man in the comics, Flash from Earth-19 (Earth Steampunk)

It seems that your theory is dead in the water with the last episode "Into The Speed Force".

It seems that your theory is dead in the water with the last episode "Into The Speed Force". My theory is dead in the water if, once they reveal Savitar's identity, it's not Barry or Wally. Until then, less likely maybe, but not dead.

I hope they aren't going to make it Jay. I don't think the writers should have another one of Barry's mentors turn out to be a psycho.

Sooo... my newest theory is that Savitar is one of the time remnants Barry is apparently going to create while fighting him. I actually really like this theory, but I have to admit that the last minute of the most recent episode threw me off somewhat. 1. The guy in the suit looked way too big to be Barry. 2. Why would Killer Frost fall in line with Savitar at the realisation that he's some version of Barry? She hates her friends right now, after all. More on point, who would Killer Frost of all people fall in line with that quickly at all? Ronnie? But what kind of sense would that make? Hunter Zolomon? Again? I suppose Jay Garrick would fit the frame and he's already trapped in the speed force right now, but I don't see why Killer Frost would align herself with him without question. *sigh* I have to admit, for a show this crappy, The Flash is being awfully mysterious this year. Not that I'm actually complaining, though!

Because if he was already crazy from being in the speed force, then Barry doesn't need to trap him in the speed force to create him. This story line is making my head spin. Also, I really hate emo super heroes. Get your freaking hair out of your face!
