Many years ago, I moved a thousand miles across the country for a year. Work related. I was relatively freshly divorced, and yes, I joined a dating website. I had never been in the area, and was hoping I could find a new friend. (and it worked, had a wonderful year with a new gal)
It was a tiny website, with only one chat room, maybe 14 members online at any one time, at max. Yet, we all made friends...real friends...there. From all over the world. I still have friends from as far away as South Korea, to Australia, to Chile, from the fun we had there. I had the privilege of visiting both the west coast, the east coast, Arizona, Nevada [Vegas.baby], Canada, and Austria, due to those awesome people. Even hosted some friends at my own house, a couple of times. I can't even imagine doing so these days. Facebook and all, so stalkery..
However, this board has much the same feel to it. I am willing to bet that Jemma has not needed to exercise her hammer-power to knock anyone in the head. You are all a really, really cool bunch of people. Thank you for my new favorite place to be on the internet!
behda-behda-behda-behda.... that's all folks... Porky Pig signing off for now. Love you gals and guys.

I honestly couldn't agree more. Just earlier I made a brief visit to another post-imdb AoS board, only to be met with some of the usual hate posts too many people like to make for whatever reason. Nope, I'm perfectly happy here where people know to behave, even when they disagree about something.

Awww, what a lovely thing to say, and right back at you! 😄 I think you've eloquently summed up exactly how I feel, too. We do have a wonderful community here, and you're correct that the ban hammer hasn't been needed. 😄 I was quite sad about that *other* place closing and just thought I'd set this up to see what would happen. I honestly didn't expect it to take off as well as it has and I'm humbled by the response. It really wouldn't be an awesome place if you all weren't also such awesome people!

It's a wonderful thing when an internet community comes together. I've seen it happen a few times, and even shed tears over the passing of friends I never met in person.

I never joined the other place because of the negativity. I did however read and enjoy the posts that all of you made, so when you created this "Framework" it felt like a good place to be. I may not always agree with you, but I know we can disagree without being rude. Thanks for making this a fun place to hang out.

I am guessing its a quote from a Marvel movie I haven't seen yet??? Coulson to the Superior. I think it was actually "cool backstory, Bro"...... struck the funny bone when ayanami posted it. However, since you're unfamiliar with it, I'm glad it didn't occur to me and, therefore, didn't use it.

It's an internet meme, usually used to portray disinterest in a story somebody just told. Here is Urban Dictionary's definition: cool story bro A phrase sarcastically used to indicate one's disgust or indifference towards a tl;dr (too long;didn't read) story. Person A: (lengthy tale about how Person A tragically broke up with his/her mate the other day) Person B: cool story broThere's also a 'Know your meme' page about this for further info. knowyourmeme.com/photos/61294-cool-story-broCoulson said "cool origin story bro" to the superior and he was certainly using this meme intentionally. In other words:

But to be fair, you and beren44 have pointed out on more than one occasion that you're the old folks here on the board. So it's probably not a coincidence that neither of you knew what I was talking about.
