So what I am looking for are the lines that had the most impact for you. They can be lines that make you lol, go Awww, or aha I think I get it now. You don't have to quote them verbatim, what you remember is close enough. Here's what I liked from episodes 1&2 1. This has to be the coolest we have ever looked. (have to disagree with you on this one beren44 ) Coulson 2. First rule of IT --turn it off then turn it back on. Jemma 3. I'm not Inspector Gadget. Coulson 4. Doesn't S.H.I.E.L.D have a space division called S.P.E.A.R. or something? Yoyo 5. Agent Coulson of SHIELD, come to save us. Virgil 6. Walk me through it like I'm a child, like I'm a foreign child. Coulson 7. Happy to see you too, but I'm not happy you're here. Mack 8. Not again! Jemma 9. I recognize all of these constellations. Jemma 10. We're here to save humanity, seems like they've already lost their humanity. Mack 11. He didn't have to die! Someone did. May and Tess.

"If I think about this, my head will explode." Coulson "The system is, NO MORE KILLING KREE." Deke
These are the only ones that I can think of right now, but I know there's more.

As much as I still dislike Mack, I really did laugh quite a lot at his "I didn't quit hard enough" line. Plus, he really had a point about the team better not splitting up, and I just LOVED the cut to the whole group all jammed together, making their way through the corridor. Coulson's line was a nice touch, I'd say, although I felt that it wasn't really necessary. The scene was hilarious enough without it.

Simmons: "they are already dead. There is nothing to be scared off."

Simmons: "they are already dead. There is nothing to be scared off." Such a stupid line imo! For all Simmons knew, those people might have had the fricking space plague. There could have been plenty to be scared off.

That line in the hallway: I am almost convinced CG delivered that line wrong. I think he was meant to say "this *isn't* the coolest we've ever looked." Sure, they could have gone back and fixed it with ADR if it was a goof, but the TPTB may have decided it worked that way too.

I'll take your word for it, I lack that part of your brain which tells picks up sarcasm, though I still say it sounded wrong, sarcasm or not.

To me, the scene was great, without the line, but when he said it, it sounded 'ad-lib', and not part of the script at all. Like he completely broke the 4th wall, and that was totally Clark Gregg talking, and not Coulson. I would have preferred the subtle visual humor of the scene, without having him draw attention to it. But that's just me.

Yes, I accidentally neglected to mention that along with my other 4th wall points. As far as my favorite line, well, my new signature sums it up..gonna keep the source anonymous for a few more days, in case of stragglers.

The fourth was broken so many times I don't think it ever existed this season. There was the line about YoYo thinking she'd lose her arms (that happened in the comics). There was that line by Daisy about Fitz and Simmons being separated again. And finally, Simmons' reply that they (Fitz and Simmons) were cursed. What fourth wall?

I don't really care about the 4th wall, or even the 16th (Deadpool, anybody?) since it's a great show that's just making a little fun of itself, as it's as least as happy as I am that it got a 5th season. I see no problem with them having a little fun at their own expense; besides, this is Marvel (that's kinda what they do). Fourth wall, be damned. Let's have some fun.......

Compared to the series Galavant, the AoS fourth wall is like reinforced concrete.
